Current Research and Research Goals

I intend to explore the factors conducive to successful innovation in Higher Education environments, as outlined in my 2016 public lecture at University of South Africa.

Recently my work has expanded to explore theories and practice in Higher Education innovation and forming academic communities of practice as hubs for facilitating the creation of innovative technological products.

A huge gap exists in practice and research on assistive devices for students with several disabilities. It is critical to pay attention to a varieties of tools and technologies including artificial intelligence in transforming learning today. I am excited about the design of a learning assistance device (LAD) for students with visual and motor disabilities.

My goal is to integrate computing technologies in solving real-world problems and produce more inventions together with colleagues and students through national and international collaborations and knowledge sharing.

I want to produce further inventions together with you!
